The Axis Trainer:
More about the Axis Trainer:
Made of a soft silicone rubber, this block is held in the hand with the finger holes positioned farthest from the wrist. As you flip this block, you will immediately begin to feel the muscles you use when coming out of your ball. Repetitions using varied hand positioning, but always seeking a fluid spiral, help to perfect axis variations and skills.

My husband and I were taking lessons and the instructor had one of these, so I bought one for myself. We were able to understand the rotation of the ball so much better with this thing. I practiced the flipping motion with it and I saw great improvement in my first session out. I avg 109 and after this I bowled a 160. I believe that was the culmination of several lessons and switching things up for me, but this tool was very helpful in that process.
